History and use: The Panzerwerfer 42 auf sWS was mainly used on the Eastern and Western fronts, where its ability to conduct mass rocket bombardments was particularly valued. This vehicle was equipped with the Nebelwerfer 41 rocket launcher system, which consisted of 10 launch tubes. This allowed it to fire at a range of 4,000 to 6,500 meters, with a maximum range of just under 7,000 meters.

This vehicle was known for the distinctive sound it made when firing rockets, earning it the nickname "Moaning Minnie" among Allied soldiers. Although less precise than traditional artillery, its ability to saturate an area with fire and its psychological effect on infantry made it a valuable support on the battlefield.
