A model kit from the Vintage Classics series depicting the legendary British 25-pounder howitzer (25-PDR Field Gun) along with the dedicated Morris Commercial C8 FAT artillery tractor, commonly known as the Quad. This detailed 1:76 scale model is a re-release of the classic Airfix kit, using the original 1963 moulds, which gives it a unique, nostalgic character. The packaging features the iconic illustration by Roy Cross from 1964.

The 25-pounder gun was the standard field howitzer of the British and Commonwealth forces during World War II. Considered one of the best designs of its type in the entire conflict, it combined the characteristics of a field gun and a howitzer. To ensure adequate mobility on the battlefield, the gun was towed by a Morris Commercial C8 FAT (Quad) tractor along with a limber that held 32 rounds of ammunition. This set was seen on almost all fronts of the war – from the sands of North Africa to the jungles of Malaya.
