Description of the original AK-130 gun:

The AK-130 is an automatic artillery turret that was developed in the 1970s as a successor to the earlier SM-2 system. It is the most powerful artillery turret in service with the navy, equipped with two 130 mm caliber barrels that are liquid-cooled. These guns are derived from the powerful towed artillery piece M-46 of the same caliber.

The AK-130 turret is unmanned and equipped with an automatic loading system, with a magazine that holds between 150 and 180 rounds located below deck. The MR-184 Kite Screech fire control system includes a dual-band radar and a laser target designator for low-light conditions, allowing for simultaneous control of two AK-130 turrets.

Technical specifications of the original gun:

• Maximum range: 23 km against surface targets, 15 km against aerial targets
• Rate of fire: from 10 to 35 rounds per minute for each of the two barrels, resulting in a maximum of 70 rounds per minute per turret
