Historical description: During World War I, the American infantry, known as "Doughboys," was an integral part of the Allied armed forces. After the United States entered the war in 1917, American ground forces were quickly expanded and sent to Europe. There, on the Western Front, they fought alongside other Allied forces, contributing to the ultimate victory.
American infantry units were organized into platoons, which consisted of rifle teams led by corporals. A standard infantry platoon included riflemen, automatic riflemen, and grenadiers. The introduction of gas masks was a response to the threat of gas attacks, which were commonly used during the conflict.
Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
