Plastic model aircraft kit: Arado 234 B-2 First Jets 1:72 Hobby 2000 72039
The Arado Ar 234 Blitz was the world's first operational jet bomber, designed for the German Luftwaffe in the final stages of World War II. This design, characterized by a slender fuselage and engines suspended under the wings, was ahead of its time in terms of performance, offering a speed that Allied piston-engine fighters could not match. The B-2 version was the most widely produced variant, used primarily for reconnaissance missions and as a fast bomber.
The model kit from Hobby 2000 allows you to recreate this historic machine in 1:72 scale. The model is characterized by high-quality moldings and rich additional equipment that enhances the realism of the finished miniature.
Kit contents:
- Plastic sprues with model parts (gray and transparent)
- Photo-etched sheet (steel)
- Decal sheet with new markings
- Painting mask sheet
- Assembly instructions
The kit allows for the construction of the model in one of two historical liveries:
- Arado Ar 234 B-2, 9./KG 76 F1+MT, pilot Hptm. Josef Regler, February 1945, Selgersdorf (color scheme: RLM81, RLM82, RLM76)
- Arado Ar 234 B-2b, Kommando Sperling T9+KH, pilot Oblt. Werner Muffey, October 1944, Rheine (color scheme: RLM81, RLM82, RLM76)
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, you will need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
