Description
Plastic model kit: Arado Ar-96 1:72 Smer 0956
The Arado Ar-96 was a key German training aircraft of the Second World War era, designed in the mid-1930s. As a modern, all-metal low-wing monoplane, it became the Luftwaffe's standard machine for advanced fighter pilot training, enabling the learning of aerobatics, blind flying, and air combat.
Serial production ran from 1939 to 1945, and the aircraft enjoyed a reputation as a very successful design with excellent handling characteristics. After the end of the war, production continued in Czechoslovakia, where these aircraft served under the designations Avia C-2 and Letov C-2, training subsequent generations of pilots.
