Description
Plastic military model for assembly: Bedford MWC Water Bowser Truck (Late Production) 1:72 IBG 72164
A plastic model depicting the British Bedford MWC Water Bowser Truck in the late production version (Late Production). Bedford MW series vehicles were among the most widely used light trucks in the British Army during World War II. The MWC version was specifically designed as a tanker for transporting drinking water, which was crucial for maintaining the operational capacity of troops in the field.
The Bedford MW featured 4x2 drive and was valued for its reliability and simplicity of construction. Late production versions, like the one replicated in the model, had a characteristic closed cab (unlike early versions with open sides) and a specific shape of the water tank with a capacity of about 200 gallons.
Model characteristics:
- Precise reproduction of the chassis and drivetrain.
- Finely detailed water tank (bowser) section.
- Elements characteristic of the late production series.
- High casting quality typical of modern IBG Models kits.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. Assembly requires separately sold modeling tools (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes and plastic model cement (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
