The Bf 109 F-4 Early Production model in 1:32 scale from Hobby 2000 is a detailed replica of one of the most famous German fighters from World War II. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the primary fighter of the Luftwaffe and one of the most produced fighter aircraft in history. The F-4 version was an evolution of earlier models, with improved performance and armament.
Model features:
- Scale: 1:32
- Manufacturer: Hobby 2000
- Catalog number: 32014
The model represents the F-4 version, which was produced from May 1941 to May 1942. During this period, a total of 1,841 units of all F-4 variants were produced. This aircraft was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 601 E engine with a power output of 1,350 PS, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 659 km/h at an altitude of 6,200 m. The F-4 version was armed with a 20 mm Mauser MG 151/20 cannon mounted along the engine axis and two 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns.
The model offers the possibility to replicate several historical markings, including:
- 3./JG 26 Schlageter Yellow 6 / WNr. 7194 (Fw. Karl Willius) from November 1941, stationed in St. Omer-Arques.
- 4./JG 53 Pik As White 4 / WNr. 7187 (Fw. Fritz Dinger) from October 1941, stationed in Szologubowka.
- 8./JG 52 Black 1 / WNr. 7082 (Oblt. Gunther Rall) from August 1941, stationed in Stschastliwaja.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
