A model kit depicting the MH-60L Black Hawk helicopter in the version used during the famous Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia in October 1993. These events, widely known as "Black Hawk Down," were one of the most intense urban battles involving US special forces since the Vietnam War. Operation Gothic Serpent was planned to capture key advisors of Mohamed Farrah Aidid in Mogadishu. During the operation, two MH-60L helicopters were shot down using RPGs, forcing UN and US forces to conduct a dramatic rescue operation in the heart of the hostile city. The model allows for the reproduction of machines from the elite units of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) "Night Stalkers."
