Plastic model car to assemble: BMW E36 318i 1:24 Hasegawa 20320
The third generation of compact cars from BMW's 3 Series was designated the E36 model code and was produced by the German car manufacturer BMW from 1990 to 2000. Initially, these were four-door sedans, followed by coupes, convertibles, station wagons (Touring), and finally hatchbacks (Compact).
The E36 was the first 3 Series offered in a hatchback body style. It was also the first 3 Series available with a six-speed manual transmission (in the 1996 M3), a five-speed automatic transmission, and a four-cylinder diesel engine. The multi-link rear suspension was also a significant improvement over previous generations of the 3 Series. All-wheel drive was not available for the E36, unlike the previous (E30) and subsequent (E46) generations.
The E36 was listed among the top 10 cars by Car and Driver magazine in every year it was on sale.
After the introduction of its successor, the E46 3 Series in 1998, the E36 model began to be gradually phased out and was ultimately replaced in 1999.
This kit is designed to replicate the E36 318i version (the kit does not include an engine model).
Assembly and painting kit. It does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
