Description
Plastic model helicopter to assemble: Bristol 192 Belvedere 1:72 Airfix 03002V
The Bristol Belvedere was a significant post-war achievement of the British aerospace industry. This highly efficient tandem rotor transport helicopter highlighted the versatility of modern rotorcraft. With the use of two engines, the Belvedere could safely continue flying even in the event of a failure of one of the power units. Interestingly, only 26 units of this machine were produced.
The model allows for the construction of one of two historical paint schemes:
- Bristol 192 Belvedere, Development Trials, Aircraft and Armament Experimental Establishment, Royal Air Force Boscombe Down, Wiltshire, England, late 1959.
- Bristol 192 Belvedere, Belvedere Trials Unit, Royal Air Force Odiham, Hampshire, England, October 1960.
Model specifications:
- Length: 38.5 cm
- Rotor span: 207 mm
- Number of parts: 50
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (e.g. cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
