Plastic model aircraft for assembly: Bristol Beaufort Mk.I 1:48 ICM 48310

The Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engine maritime bomber and torpedo aircraft of all-metal construction, designed for the Coastal Command. Derived from the Bristol Blenheim design, this aircraft entered service in late 1939, playing a key role in minelaying operations, torpedo attacks, and aerial reconnaissance.

The Mk.I version was the first production modification, with 1014 units manufactured. These aircraft took part in many significant World War II operations, including the famous torpedoing of the German battleship Gneisenau in April 1941. From March 1942, Beauforts operated intensively in the Mediterranean, mainly based in Malta, where their crews suffered some of the highest losses in the entire RAF while carrying out dangerous missions against enemy convoys.
