A set of plastic figures for assembly and painting in 1:35 scale, depicting British infantry soldiers from the final period of World War I (1917-1918). The set contains 48 parts, from which four realistic figures can be built: one officer and three enlisted soldiers.

Historical background:

At the outbreak of World War I in 1914, the British Army was a fully professional and volunteer formation. Experiences from the Boer War necessitated reforms, including the introduction of practical khaki-colored uniforms and modern weaponry, such as the Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) Mark III rifle. However, the scale of the conflict on the European continent forced Great Britain to introduce universal conscription in 1916. By 1918, the British armed forces had grown to a formidable number of nearly 4 million soldiers. Infantry tactics evolved from rigid line attacks towards flexible cooperation with machine guns (light Lewis guns) and grenades, which allowed for breaking the deadlock of trench warfare during the so-called Hundred Days Offensive.
