British SAR Service Paint Set Vol. 1 8x17ml Hataka HTK-BS98

Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing standard colors of British RAF and Royal Navy search and rescue (SAR) helicopters.

For many years, search and rescue operations over the waters of the United Kingdom were shared between the RAF Search and Rescue Force, Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, and HM Coastguard. The RAF SAR Force utilized Westland Whirlwind HAR.2/4/10, Westland Wessex HAR.2, and Westland Sea King HAR.3/3A helicopters. Meanwhile, Royal Navy units operated on Whirlwind HAR.1/3/5/9, Wessex HAS.1/HU.5, and Sea King HAR.5/HU.5 types. These military operations ended in 2015-2016 with the privatization of SAR services.

The set includes 8 bottles of 17ml with the following colors:

• HTK-B275 BS Golden Yellow (BS381C:356) - general color of RAF SAR Whirlwind, Wessex, and Sea King helicopters.
• HTK-B144 BS Dark Sea Grey (BS381C:638) - color of RAF SAR Wessex and Sea King helicopters operating from bases in the UK and the Falklands.
• HTK-B141 BS Medium Sea Grey (BS381C:637) - color of RAF Cyprus Wessex (since 1993) and Griffin HAR.2, as well as RN Sea King HAR.5/HU.5.
• HTK-B284 UN Blue (FS35250) - used on the tails of 84 Squadron RAF (Akrotiri, Cyprus) Wessex and Griffin helicopters.
• HTK-B145 RAF Blue-Grey (BS381C:633) - base color of RN Wessex HAS.1 (early service) and HU.5.
• HTK-B146 BS Olive Drab (BS381C:298) - base color of RN Wessex HAS.1 (late service) and HU.5 (early service).
• HTK-B268 Luminous Red (Dayglo Red) - bright color used on the noses and rear parts of RN SAR Wessex fuselages until the early 80s.
• HTK-B291 BS Cherry Red (BS381C:538) - color used on the noses and tails of RN SAR Wessex and Sea King from the early 80s.
