Historical background: The M3 Stuart light tank, known in British service as the Stuart, was one of the first American tanks used by the British during World War II. The name "Stuart" comes from the Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart from the American Civil War. These tanks were also unofficially called "Honeys" by British soldiers due to their smooth ride.

The Stuart Mk. I was primarily used in reconnaissance and support roles, with its first combat use occurring during the North African campaign. In Operation Crusader, which took place from November 18 to December 30, 1941, the British used about 170 Stuart tanks. They were also the first American tanks to engage in tank combat during World War II when they clashed with Japanese forces in the Philippines in December 1941.

Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
