Description
Plastic model aircraft kit: British WWII bombs 1:48 MiniArt 49023
A model kit from MiniArt featuring a collection of British aerial bombs used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. It is an excellent addition to 1:48 scale aircraft models, allowing for the creation of realistic dioramas depicting preparations for bombing missions or armament suspended under machines such as the Avro Lancaster, Vickers Wellington, or de Havilland Mosquito.
During the conflict, the British air force used a wide range of weaponry, from standard high-explosive bombs weighing 250 lb and 500 lb to powerful "Cookie" type structures (4000 lb HC). These bombs were characterized by specific painting (usually dark green or yellow depending on the period and type) and numerous operational markings, which were often supplemented by ground crews with personal dedications to the enemy.
Kit characteristics:- Precisely reproduced shapes of various types of British aerial bombs.
- High quality of details characteristic of the Accessories Series from MiniArt.
- A decal sheet containing technical markings and occasional inscriptions applied by soldiers (e.g., "Happy Xmas Adolf").
- Possibility of use in many modeling projects related to Allied aviation.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, you need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
