Historical description: The Numidian tribes inhabited the areas of present-day northern Africa, and their closest neighbor was the wealthy Carthage. The Numidians, being nomads and cattle herders, were excellent horsemen, which made their cavalry extremely effective in battle. Ancient authors described Numidian riders as light cavalry that almost never wore armor. Their armament mainly consisted of spears, short melee weapons, and small leather shields.
The Numidian cavalry was known for its fast and agile attacks, making it ideal support for heavier military units. Their equestrian skills were legendary, and their ability to move quickly and surprise the enemy was invaluable in ancient battles. The Numidians often collaborated with Carthage, and their cavalry played a key role in many conflicts, including the famous Punic Wars against Rome.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
