Plastic military model kit: Chieftain Mk.11 1:35 Takom 2026
The plastic model of the British main battle tank Chieftain Mk.11 in 1:35 scale. FV 4201 Chieftain was a key element of British armored forces during the Cold War, designed as a successor to the successful Centurion tank. The Mk.11 version was the final modernization variant of this vehicle, introduced in the late 1980s.
The main distinguishing feature of the Mk.11 version was the Stillbrew armor upgrade and the installation of the modern TOGS (Thermal Observation and Gunnery System) thermal observation system, which replaced the outdated infrared spotlight. These changes significantly enhanced the tank's combat capabilities in night conditions and increased its survivability on the battlefield against a new generation of Soviet anti-tank missiles.

The Chieftain was powered by a multi-fuel Leyland L60 engine with a power output of 750 hp. Its main armament was a powerful L11A5 rifled gun with a caliber of 120 mm, which at the time of its introduction was one of the most powerful in the world. These tanks served in the British Army until 1995, and their designs became the basis for later Challenger 1 tanks.
