Plastic model aircraft kit: Consolidated B-24H Liberator 1:72 Airfix 09010

The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American heavy strategic bomber that became the most widely produced American aircraft of World War II. The H version model was developed to eliminate the weaknesses of the machine in head-on engagements, which was achieved by introducing the electrically controlled Emerson A-15 nose turret. This variant also featured about 50 other modifications to increase its combat effectiveness.

The B-24 was characterized by a unique design with high-mounted, slender wings (the so-called Davis wing), a deep fuselage, and a twin vertical stabilizer. Thanks to its efficiency, Liberators served in every theater of war, delivering more bombs over greater distances than any other bomber in aviation history.
