Curtiss P-40B Warhawk – history and significance:

The Curtiss P-40B Warhawk, also known as the Tomahawk IIa in RAF service, was one of the key fighters used by Allied forces in the early stages of World War II. Equipped with an Allison V-1710-33 engine, this aircraft stood out not only for its performance but also for its distinctive appearance. Its short, pointed nose and powerful engine gave it a shark-like look, further emphasized by the shark teeth paint scheme on the fuselage.

The P-40B Warhawk gained fame due to its service in various theaters of war. In North Africa, under RAF colors, and in China, as part of the American Volunteer Group, these aircraft became symbols of determination and bravery of pilots fighting against Axis forces.
