The Fiat 500 Topolino, also known as the "mouse," is an Italian passenger car that debuted in 1936. It was a two-seater vehicle with small dimensions and a weight of only 535 kg in the early production series. The car was powered by a 0.6-liter engine with an output of 13 HP. Due to its simplicity and low operating costs, the Topolino quickly gained popularity, and its production continued until 1955, reaching around 520,000 units produced.

During World War II, many Topolino units were mobilized and used as staff cars by Italian and German military officers, especially in the African campaign from 1940 to 1943. After the war, improved versions of this model were introduced, known as the Fiat 500B and 500C.
