Plastic model aircraft kit: de Havilland Mosquito B.XVI/B.35/TT.35 1:72 Airfix 04070

The de Havilland Mosquito, known as the "wooden wonder," was one of the most versatile and successful aircraft of World War II. Due to its construction made mainly of wood glued with casein and synthetic adhesives, the machine was characterized by exceptional lightness and excellent aerodynamic properties. The B.XVI variant, introduced to frontline units in 1944, was a development of the B.IX version, enhanced with a pressurized cabin, allowing it to operate at very high altitudes. Although it lacked defensive armament, it could carry a powerful 4000-pound bomb known as the "Cookie."

The B.35 version was the last bomber variant, which first flew in March 1945. Although it did not manage to take part in wartime operations, it served in the RAF until 1954. Many of these machines were later converted into aerial target tugs, designated as TT.35, which remained in service with civilian units cooperating with anti-aircraft defense until 1963.

The Airfix model kit in 1:72 scale allows for the construction of one of the three versions of this legendary aircraft, offering rich interior details and optional specialized equipment.
