The Delahaye Type 103 is a unique French fire truck that has gone down in history as one of the most impressive rescue vehicles of the interwar period. This particular specimen, known as the “Great Ladder,” was built to special order for the Principality of Monaco and delivered to the local fire department in 1939.
The vehicle featured advanced construction and high-quality workmanship, for which the Delahaye brand was famous. Its most characteristic element was the 26-meter fully steel Magirus ladder, which allowed for rescue operations in high urban buildings.
