Sometimes we all feel like dinosaurs hiding from meteor showers. But we can still take action to avoid disasters! You might fall into hot lava, be attacked by saber-toothed squirrels, or be ditched by your dino date? Remember, you can endure a lot of truly scary events!

DinoCalypse is a strategic card game by the creator of Unstable Unicorns! During the game, you are a dinosaur, and life keeps throwing challenges at you. You will do everything in your power to avoid natural, predatory, and emotional disasters, dodging meteors, and just like in real life, you will likely face failure. But don’t give up, because the first dinosaur to reach 50 points (or the last dinosaur standing in the game) wins! Hooray!

How does it work?

In each round, players play point cards from their hands in hopes of avoiding disasters.

1. To start the round, reveal the top card from the disaster deck and read it aloud. Each of you must choose a point card from your hand and place it face down on the table. You will reveal them all together at the same time.
2. Points are awarded after all cards are revealed. The player with the highest score gains that many points and moves their dinosaur token the corresponding number of spaces on their escape path on their dinosaur board. The player with the lowest score draws the revealed disaster card and places it in their disaster area.
3. If you collect 3 disaster cards of the same type or 3 different types of cards, you are out of the game. But to make it less sad, at the end of the round for each disaster card you have, you move your dinosaur token 1 space forward on the escape path. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!
4. The winner is the dinosaur who first reaches 50 points on the escape track or the last one remaining in the arena of life!
