Plastic model kit of the car: Doctors Coupe 1918 Model T 1:35 ICM 35830
The Ford Model T is a true legend of American motoring, which revolutionized the industry with the introduction of the world's first moving assembly line by Henry Ford in 1913. The Model T became the first mass-produced car, and by 1914, it accounted for 56% of all vehicles manufactured in the United States. Its success was due not only to the enormous scale of production but also to its exceptional durability and build quality.
The Model T Coupe variant was a closed-body car with a single seat and a trunk at the rear. This particular version gained immense popularity among doctors working in rural areas. The Ford's reliability allowed them to reach patients quickly, the closed body provided comfort in bad weather, and the spacious trunk held additional medical equipment that would not fit in a standard doctor's bag. It is precisely because of this professional group that the model earned the nickname "Doctors Coupe".
Model specifications:
- Scale: 1:35
- Model length: 99 mm
- Model height: 57 mm
- Number of parts: 98
- Historical period: World War I / 1920s
The construction of the original was based on a chassis and mechanical components made of high-quality steel and a compact, four-cylinder engine with 22.5 HP, which was the first to feature a detachable cylinder head. The plastic model from ICM faithfully reproduces these details, offering modelers precise execution of mechanical elements and the characteristic silhouette of the coupe body style.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, you need separately sold modeling tools (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
