The Dornier Do 27 is a German, single-engine multipurpose aircraft with short takeoff and landing (STOL) characteristics, which is recorded in history as the first mass-produced aircraft in West Germany after World War II. The design is derived from the Do 25 model, developed in Spain, where it was first flown in 1954. The version produced under license in Spain by CASA received the designation C-127.

The aircraft is characterized by high reliability, a sturdy metal structure, and excellent flying qualities at low speeds. Thanks to these features, it was widely used not only by the Bundeswehr but also by the air forces of Spain and Portugal, where it participated in operational activities in Africa. The Do 27 also gained recognition in the civilian market as a transport, passenger, and parachutist drop aircraft.

The model kit allows for the construction of a detailed replica of this classic high-wing aircraft. The box contains parts made of light gray and transparent plastic, which allow for an accurate representation of the airframe silhouette and the cockpit interior.
