Description
Early WW2 French Air Force Paint Set 6x17ml Hataka HTK-BS16
Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing standard colors of the French Air Force from 1940.
In December 1938, the French Ministry of Aviation issued instructions regarding the camouflage of all land-based aircraft. Aircraft already in service were repainted during 1939, while new examples received factory schemes. The colors used could vary depending on the aircraft manufacturer. Typically, the lower surfaces were painted in light gray-blue (Gris Bleu Clair), while the upper surfaces used a mix of dark gray-blue (Gris Bleu Foncé), green (usually Kaki Français or Vert), and brown (usually Brun Foncé or Terre de Sienne).
The set includes 6 bottles of 17ml each:
- HTK-B079 Brun Foncé - standard brown color used on upper surfaces
- HTK-B080 Vert - standard green color used on upper surfaces
- HTK-B081 Terre de Sienne - variant of brown color used on upper surfaces
- HTK-B082 Gris Bleu Foncé - dark gray-blue used on upper surfaces
- HTK-B083 Gris Bleu Clair - light gray-blue used on lower surfaces
- HTK-B084 Kaki Français - variant of green color (khaki) used on upper surfaces
