History and background of the project: The F-215B 183 project was developed in response to the need to combat heavy Soviet tanks at long distances. To this end, the vehicle was to be equipped with a 183 mm caliber gun that could effectively engage targets at a distance of up to 1829 meters. Additionally, the vehicle's design included a rotating turret and a combat compartment at the rear, which was intended to provide better crew protection and increase combat effectiveness. One of the key assumptions of the project was the vehicle's ability to withstand return fire from 122 mm caliber guns at a distance of up to 500 meters. This was significant in the context of potential encounters with Soviet IS series tanks, which were known for their powerful firepower and armor. Unfortunately, despite the ambitious assumptions, the F-215B 183 project was never put into serial production or used in combat operations. In the 1950s, the development of cheaper and more effective 193 mm caliber anti-tank missiles, such as the Malkara, diminished the project's significance. As a result, after only a prototype was built, the project was canceled.
