Original History:
The F-35B is the Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing (STOVL) variant of the Lightning II family, designed primarily for the needs of the US Marine Corps (USMC). VMFA-242 "Bats," stationed at MCAS Iwakuni in Japan, utilizes these advanced machines to ensure air superiority and support expeditionary operations. The special marking shown in this kit refers to the squadron's tradition and emblem, emphasizing its unique identity within Marine aviation.
