About the F-35A aircraft:
The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an American fifth-generation multirole fighter designed to perform missions in both air superiority and ground attack. The F-35A version, designed for conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL), is the smallest and lightest of the three main variants of this aircraft. Equipped with a fixed 25 mm cannon, the F-35A replaces older models such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon and A-10 Thunderbolt II.
Poland, as one of the first countries in Central and Eastern Europe, decided to purchase 32 F-35A aircraft in the latest Block 4 version, equipped with advanced technologies such as Technology Refresh 3 (TR-3). These aircraft, locally named "Hussar," are set to replace outdated Soviet Su-22 and MiG-29, and their task will be not only to perform standard missions intended for the F-35 but also to serve as a counterbalance to the Russian Su-35 and Su-57.
The F-35A is not only a symbol of modernity but also a strategic element of air defense. The Polish agreement for the delivery of these machines was signed in January 2020, and the first units are expected to be delivered between 2023 and 2030. The aircraft will be assembled at facilities in Fort Worth, USA, and in Cameri, Italy. In the initial phase, the Polish F-35s will be stationed at the Ebbing National Guard Base in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where they will serve to train Polish pilots and instructors.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
