The plastic model to assemble of the American multi-role carrier-based fighter McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II in versions B and N. The set was prepared by the Japanese company Hasegawa in 1:72 scale.
The F-4 Phantom II is a twin-engine, two-seat supersonic long-range aircraft that became one of the most popular fighters of the Western bloc, with production exceeding 5000 units. The aircraft is characterized by excellent capabilities to operate in all weather conditions and versatility in air superiority missions and ground attack. The B version was the first variant produced in series for the US Navy, while the N version was a modernized form of older B-type airframes.
The set allows for the construction of a model in the colors of the VF-111 "Sundowners" unit stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt, characterized by the distinctive painting of the vertical stabilizer and a shark mouth on the nose of the aircraft.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
