The plastic model kit represents the F/A-18D Hornet fighter-attack aircraft in the colors of the VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles" unit. The set is in 1:72 scale and was released by Hasegawa as a limited edition. The painting commemorates the end of the operation of F/A-18 aircraft by this unit (1985-2023).
The set includes:
- Sprues with model parts
- Decal sheet with markings for the VMFA-115 Silver Eagles unit
- Assembly instructions
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
