History and use of the vehicle: The Ferret Scout Car, also known as the Ferret armoured car, is a British armoured vehicle designed for reconnaissance purposes. Manufactured by Daimler from 1952 to 1971, the Ferret was widely used by British military units, the RAF Regiment, and Commonwealth countries. Its design was based on experiences gained during World War II with the Daimler Dingo vehicle.

The Ferret was designed for quick and discreet movement on the battlefield, avoiding direct confrontations with heavily armed enemy units. Its low profile, speed, and ability to relay information in real-time to command made it an ideal tool for reconnaissance. The vehicle was equipped with a six-cylinder Rolls-Royce B.60 engine, which provided it with adequate power and mobility.
