Plastic military model kit: FJ43 SUV with Hard top 1:35 AK 35001

The FJ43 is part of the famous FJ40 series of 4x4 vehicles produced by a well-known Japanese company since 1953. The J40 series was a massive bestseller worldwide, helping to build the reputation of the Japanese brand globally due to its durability, economy, and reliability. It has been used for decades in military and civilian tasks and remains in service in many countries. It became an icon due to its popularity in various conflicts, even coining the term "Toyota Wars." Equipped with weaponry upgraded in many ways, it proved its worth as a capable vehicle in the most complicated terrains and tasks. This series had many configurations, both official and unofficial. Over the years, the models underwent numerous changes and updates, and many vehicles can be seen with different parts, seats, wheels, etc.

The FJ40 has a short wheelbase, the FJ43 has a medium wheelbase, the FJ45 has a long wheelbase, and the J40 series pickup can be made in several types depending on the wheelbase and year of production. FJ40, FJ43, and FJ45 can be made with a hard top and soft top, or even topless, and in several production batches from 1958 to 1960 / 1961 to 1965 / 1966 to 1977 / 1978 to 1981 / 1981 to 1985, in both soft top and hard top. The FJ43 existed in configurations that had anti-aircraft guns such as DShK, .50 caliber machine guns, ZPU1, ZPU4, ZPU2 guns, ZU23 guns, recoilless rifles 106, recoilless rifles B10 and B11, and many other rocket launchers such as the Type 63 107mm.

AK35001 is the HardTop version of the vehicle, probably one of the most popular variants in use. The top could be easily removed or installed depending on the conditions, but it was the most useful asset in cold, rainy, or dusty weather, both for military and civilian users over many decades of the vehicle's service. The modeler can make various changes to the kit and easy variations to match different configurations seen over the years in various conflicts or civilian versions. It is perfect for building straight out of the box or for upgrading and customizing to one's own version. This kit allows for many possibilities.
