Description
Plastic model kit of an aircraft: Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-7/A-8 WWII Aces 1:72 Italeri 1490
Plastic model kit of the German World War II fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in versions A-7 and A-8. The set prepared by Italeri focuses on machines piloted by the most famous Luftwaffe aces, offering a rich decal sheet.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger was one of the best fighters of its time. The A-7 version entered production at the end of 1943, characterized by reinforced armament (replacing MG 17 machine guns with heavier MG 131s). The A-8 version was the most numerous variant of this aircraft, introducing, among other things, the MW-50 fuel injection system for a short-term increase in engine power.
The kit allows for building the model in one of five historical paint schemes:
- Fw 190 A-7, pilot: Maj. Heinz "Pritzl" Bar, Riga-Skulte airbase, Latvia, June 1944.
- Fw 190 A-7, pilot: Obstlt. Otto Kittel, Riga-Skulte airbase, Latvia, June 1944.
- Fw 190 A-8, pilot: Major Josef "Pips" Priller, Stab, France, June 1944.
- Fw 190 A-8, pilot: Lt. Anton Rudolf Piffer, Le Mans airfield, June 1944.
- Fw 190 A-8, pilot: Lt. Gerhard Vogt, France, June 1944.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, you need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
