Plastic model aircraft kit: Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 Early Production JG 54 "Grünherz" 1:48 MiniArt 48035
A plastic model kit depicting a German fighter aircraft from World War II - the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 in an early production version. The "Basic Kit" edition focuses on clean assembly and key details, offering high-quality structural reproduction.
The model represents a machine used by the famous Jagdgeschwader 54 "Grünherz" unit, characterized by specific late-war camouflage and the green heart emblem. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, also known as the "Dora", was one of the most effective modifications of this fighter, equipped with a Junkers Jumo 213 inline engine, which significantly improved its performance at high altitudes.
Kit specification:- Detailed plastic model in 1:48 scale
- Accurate configuration of the early D-9 production version
- JG 54 "Grünherz" unit markings
- Two decal options to choose from
- Basic Kit set optimized for precise assembly
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 was introduced into service in 1944 as a response to the growing superiority of Allied bombing raids. Thanks to its lengthened fuselage and new power unit, this aircraft became a worthy opponent for the latest versions of the Spitfire and P-51 Mustang fighters. Units serving in JG 54 took part in intense fighting on the Western Front, covering, among others, Me 262 jet bases.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, you will need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
