The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, also known as "Dora," was one of the most advanced development versions of the famous German fighter from World War II. Designed in response to the growing demand for high-performance machines at high altitudes, the D-9 model was equipped with a Junkers Jumo 213A inline engine, which necessitated the characteristic lengthening of the aircraft's nose. Airframes produced by Mimetall plants in the final phase of the war often featured simplified finishing due to material shortages and the difficult economic situation of the Third Reich. These aircraft were delivered, among others, to the Jagdgeschwader 301 (JG 301) unit, which participated in the defense of the Reich until the last days of the conflict.
