A plastic model kit depicting the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 "Dora" in the version produced by the Mimetall factories. This aircraft was one of the most effective German fighters of the final period of World War II. Designed as a high-maneuverability interceptor, the D-9 model combined high speed, powerful firepower, and improved performance at high altitudes.

The Advanced Kit series set from MiniArt is characterized by a high level of detail, dedicated to experienced modelers. It precisely reproduces the features characteristic of units leaving the Mimetall production line.

Historical background:
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, colloquially called "Dora" or "Langnasen-Dora" (long-nosed Dora), was created as a result of the need to improve the performance of the standard Fw 190 at high altitudes. The use of the Junkers Jumo 213A inline engine forced the extension of the front part of the fuselage, which gave the machine its characteristic silhouette. The D-9 version entered service in 1944 and quickly gained recognition from Luftwaffe pilots as a worthy opponent for Allied fighters such as the P-51 Mustang or late versions of the Spitfire.
