History of Renault AHN: The Renault AHN is a truck developed by the French manufacturer Renault in response to the needs of the French army in the 1930s. In 1939, in the face of the outbreak of World War II, Renault began work on a series of AH trucks, of which the AHN was one of the medium-class models with a payload of 3.5 tons. The AHN prototype was presented in February 1940, and its serial production began in March 1941 in Boulogne-Billancourt, although under German control.
The AHN truck featured a simple design with a flat cab and no protruding hood, which facilitated its production. Initially intended for the Wehrmacht, it was used on various fronts, including the German-Soviet front, in Italy, and in France. The AHN2 version, which is represented in this model, went into production after the liberation of France and was used by the French armed forces as well as in the civilian market.
