Description
German AFV in Africa Paint Set 6x17ml Hataka HTK-BS90
Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing the standard colors of German military vehicles operating in Africa during World War II.
Since the Wehrmacht was not fully prepared for the African campaign, the first units transported in February 1941 had the standard Dunkelgrau camouflage. As a temporary solution, these vehicles were covered with a mixture of mud, sand, and water or oil. The first dedicated desert camouflage was introduced in March 1941, consisting of RAL 8000 Gelbbraun and RAL 7008 Graugrün colors. In March 1942, both of these colors were replaced by RAL 8020 Braun and RAL 7027 Grau, which were used until the withdrawal of German forces from Africa.
The set includes 6 bottles of 17ml:
- HTK-B164 Panzer Dunkelgrau Base - RAL 7021, the base color of German vehicles since mid-1937.
- HTK-B303 Gelbbraun (Green Brown) - RAL 8000, the initial camouflage color in Africa (used from early 1941 to early 1942).
- HTK-B304 Graugrün (Khaki Grey) - RAL 7008, the initial complementary camouflage color (used from early 1941 to early 1942).
- HTK-B305 Afrika Braun - RAL 8020, the late desert camouflage color (used from early 1942).
- HTK-B306 Afrika Grau - RAL 7027, the late complementary camouflage color (used from early 1942).
- HTK-B307 Cremeweiss (Cream) - RAL 9001, the standard color for the interiors of closed compartments of German vehicles.
