This set of high-quality model details depicts German anti-tank mines from the World War II era. The product has been made with attention to historical details, allowing for a realistic enhancement of dioramas and military vehicle models in 1:35 scale.
The set includes:
- 4 pieces of TELLER MINE 42
- 4 pieces of TELLER MINE 43 "PILZ"
- 20 cm of thin wire with a diameter of 0.1 mm, which can be used to imitate fuses or wiring
Historical Background:
The Tellermine was a series of German anti-tank mines with a characteristic disc shape, widely used by the Wehrmacht on all fronts of World War II. The model 42 (T.Mi.42) was a simplified version of earlier designs, introduced to speed up wartime production. It featured a pressure fuse and contained about 5.5 kg of explosive material, which was sufficient to break the tracks or destroy the chassis of most contemporary Allied tanks.
The Tellermine 43, also known by the nickname "Pilz" (mushroom), represented a further evolution of the design. It featured a simplified body and a modified fuse system, making it even easier to mass-produce while maintaining high combat effectiveness. These mines were often camouflaged with a thin layer of soil or hidden under rubble in urban combat.
This set is an excellent addition for modelers focusing on the theme of German infantry (Panzergrenadier) and engineering units. The precise reproduction of the upper surface details of the mines allows for their display as cargo on vehicles, as equipment elements for defensive positions, or as details scattered on the battlefield.
