History and background of the vehicle: Morserzugmittel 35 (T) is a vehicle that was created as a result of the adaptation of the Czechoslovak tank LT vz.35. After the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Germany in 1939, about 244 vehicles were seized by the Wehrmacht. Initially, they served as substitutes for the German medium tanks Panzerkampfwagen III, participating in campaigns in Poland, France, and the Soviet Union.

However, over time, due to a lack of spare parts and insufficient firepower, these tanks were withdrawn from the front line. In 1942, in response to the demand for vehicles to tow artillery, it was decided to convert them into artillery tractors. This process involved removing the turret and transforming the interior of the vehicle, which allowed for increased functionality as a tractor.

Morserzugmittel 35 (T) was mainly used on the Eastern Front, where it served in various artillery battalions. Although this vehicle was no longer capable of fighting on the front line, it played a significant role as an artillery tractor, supporting German artillery units until the end of the war.
