Description
Plastic assembly model: German Heavy Tank Tiger I 1:Egg Meng WWT001
A plastic model depicting the legendary German heavy tank Tiger I, released as part of the unique World War Toons series by Meng. This series is characterized by a caricatured approach to the silhouettes of historical vehicles (the so-called "Egg Plane" or "Toon" style), which gives them a unique, toy-like appearance while retaining the characteristic features of the original. The model is designed with a snap-fit system, making it an excellent choice for those starting their modeling adventure or looking for a relaxing project.
History of the original:
The Pz.Kpfw VI Tiger (Sd.Kfz.181) is one of the most recognizable tanks of World War II. Its design was a response to encounters with Soviet T-34 and KV-1 designs on the Eastern Front. The VK 4501 (H) prototype underwent trials in 1942 and quickly entered mass production. The Tiger was famous for its powerful frontal armor (up to 120 mm) and the extremely effective 88 mm KwK 36 L/56 cannon, which allowed it to destroy Allied units from long distances. Despite its complex suspension and high production costs, the Tiger I became a symbol of German armored warfare, fighting in Tunisia, at the Battle of Kursk, and in Normandy.
