Historical information:
The mortar s.Gr.W.34, produced from 1934 to 1945, was standard equipment for German infantry battalions during World War II. Its design allowed for effective fire support for ground units, making it indispensable in many combat operations. This mortar was known for its precision and rate of fire, allowing a well-trained crew to deliver up to 25 rounds per minute.
The mortar s.Gr.W.34 was used by German armed forces on many fronts, including during the fighting against Yugoslav partisans in December 1943. Its design was versatile enough to be adapted for mounting on self-propelled vehicles, as well as the production of a lighter version with a shorter barrel, known as the kurzer 8 cm Granatwerfer 42.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
