The plastic model kit: German motorcycle Zundapp K800 with sidecar and ambulance in 1:35 scale from Zvezda is an excellent proposition for model-making enthusiasts and automotive history lovers. This detailed set allows you to recreate one of the most iconic motorcycles used by the Wehrmacht during World War II.
History and technical data of the original: The Zundapp K800 is a motorcycle that gained recognition among both civilians and military personnel. Produced from 1933 to 1938, it was one of the most beautiful motorcycles of its time. A total of 7569 units were produced, of which 2600 were intended for the civilian market and 4692 for military purposes.
The motorcycle was powered by a four-cylinder, opposed engine with an output of 20 HP, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h. Power was transmitted to the rear wheel via a cardan shaft. Although the K800 was characterized by high power and smooth riding, it had some reliability issues, and its off-road capabilities were insufficient for the needs of the Eastern Front.
