Historical background: The Pkw.K1 Kubelwagen Type 155 Half-Track is a vehicle that was developed as part of an ambitious project by the German army aimed at improving the off-road capabilities of the popular Kubelwagen Type 82. Although the Type 82 was valued for its simple design, ease of maintenance, and low fuel consumption, engineers decided to enhance its capabilities in difficult terrain by adding tracks.

During testing, the vehicle was equipped with four different types of tracks, and improvements were made to the braking system, differential, and anti-slip devices were added to the front of the vehicle. The engine power was also increased. Despite the significant improvement in the off-road capabilities of the Pkw.K1 Kübelwagen Type 155, the vehicle could only reach a maximum speed of 8 km/h and consumed as much as 150 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. Due to its limited practicality, the vehicle did not enter mass production.
