History and usage: The Gloster Gladiator was the last British biplane fighter to enter service with the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm as the Sea Gladiator variant. This aircraft, although outdated compared to modern monoplane fighters at the time of its introduction, played a significant role in the early stages of World War II.

The Gladiator was used in many theaters of war, including France, Norway, Greece, the defense of Malta, the Middle East, and in the short Anglo-Iraqi War. It was also exported to many other countries, such as China, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and Greece, where it served in defense against Axis invasions.

The Mk.II version was equipped with a Mercury VIIIA engine and a Fairey Reed three-blade propeller, which improved its performance compared to earlier versions. A total of 746 units of this aircraft were produced between 1936 and 1938.
