The HGCE NOG-M4F2 Black Knight Squad Rud-ro.A (Griffin Arbalest Custom) plastic model kit is a unique offering for fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom series. This 1:144 scale model, released in 2024, is part of the High Grade Cosmic Era line, known for its high-quality details and customization options.
Contents of the set:
- Model Rud-ro.A
- Heavy sword
- Storage adapter
- Beam cloak
- Beam rifle
- Shield
Features and functions of the model:
Articulation:
- The model's head can rotate on a ball joint and tilt back on a hinge.
- The torso can lean forward, backward, and sideways (within a limited range).
- The shoulder joints can tilt forward and upward.
- The arms can rotate on a ball joint and lift horizontally.
- The upper parts of the arms can rotate.
- The elbows and knees are double-jointed.
- The manipulators can rotate on a ball joint.
- The waist can rotate, although it may be restricted by some hip armor panels.
- Each axis of the hip joints can move downwards to provide additional space for leg articulation.
- The upper thighs can move forward (and to a limited extent backward due to the one-piece rear armor) on a peg, lift horizontally, and/or rotate at each part.
- The front and side hip armors can lift to avoid obstruction.
- The ankle joints can rotate and/or pivot (though within a limited range) on a ball joint.
Weapons and other features:
- Each weapon can be held by the default hand parts.
- The heavy sword can be mounted on the left side of the backpack (using a connecting part) for storage.
- The shield can be mounted on either forearm, though the default position is the left side.
- The Rud-ro.A model can be mounted on any action base (sold separately).
Tips and tricks:
- For better results, some or most details should be applied and finished using Gundam markers.
- A protective coating (recommended Mr. Hobby) can be used to secure applied stickers and, if any, markings and paint details.
- If using a matte/non-gloss protective coating, it is recommended not to spray transparent/partially transparent parts - this can be done by masking or spraying protective coating when the mentioned parts are separated.
Gunpla is an abbreviation of GUNdamPLAstic model. Models do not require glue or (mostly) painting. They are based on the Japanese series - Gundam - which debuted in Japan in 1979 and featured giant combat robots, reaching heights of up to 18 meters, piloted by humans.
Do-it-yourself assembly kit. To assemble, modeling nippers (for cutting model parts from the frames) are needed, which are not included in the set. It is also worth equipping yourself with a modeling knife (or a utility knife). The photo shows a professionally assembled model.
