Features and mechanisms of the model:
Articulation:
- The head can rotate on a double ball joint.
- The torso can tilt forward and backward as well as sideways within a limited range.
- The shoulder joints can lift up and move forward.
- The arms can: rotate at the peg-and-socket joint, lift horizontally.
- The shoulder armors can lift up to not hinder arm movement.
- The upper parts of the arms can rotate.
- Both elbows and knees are double-jointed.
- The elbow joints can extend to increase the range of motion.
- The wrist joint can rotate within a limited range.
- Manipulators: have a thumb on a ball joint, can rotate on a ball joint.
- The waist can rotate 45 degrees.
- Each of the hip joint axes can extend to increase the range of motion.
- The upper thigh parts can move forward/backward at the peg-and-socket joint, lift horizontally and/or rotate at each part.
- The front, side/railgun, and rear skirt armors can rotate to provide freedom of leg movement.
- The ankle joints can rotate and/or tilt sideways.
- The wings are articulated, allowing for some articulation.
Weapons/Other mechanisms:
- Finger parts can be exchanged.
- Each weapon can be held by the hands, depending on the fingers used.
- The beam rifle can be mounted on the rear armor of the waist using a retractable hook.
- The wings can be deployed in HiMAT mode.
- The upper blue panel on the wings can be raised or lowered.
- Beam cannons can be deployed from the wings, both in deployed and closed forms.
- Beam cannons can also be switched to attack mode.
- Railguns can be transformed into attack mode.
- The railgun grips can be extended so that the Freedom Gundam can hold them.
- The grips of the beam sabers can be:
- Optionally removed from the railguns/side skirt armors as handheld weapons.
- Joined to form a double beam saber.
- The Freedom Gundam can be mounted on the included display base using the backpack connector.
- The Freedom Gundam can also connect to the Action Base 1 display base (sold separately) using the backpack adapter.
Gunpla is an abbreviation for GUNdamPLAstic model. Models do not require glue or (mostly) painting. They are based on the Japanese series - Gundam - which debuted in Japan in 1979 and featured giant combat robots, reaching heights of up to 18 meters, piloted by humans.
Assembly kit. To assemble, you will need modeling cutters (to cut the model parts from the frames), which are not included in the set. It is also advisable to equip yourself with a modeling knife (or a snap-off knife). The photo shows a professionally assembled model.
