Description
Hataka A502 507B RN Medium Grey paint 17ml
Hataka A502 507B RN Medium Grey is a high-quality water-based acrylic paint, optimized for airbrush use. This color corresponds to the historical shade used by the British Royal Navy during World War II.
The paint comes from the Red Line series, which guarantees excellent spraying properties and high pigment saturation. The product is safe to use, free from harmful substances, and environmentally friendly. The 17ml bottle is equipped with a practical dropper that facilitates precise paint dosing and prevents it from drying out. Inside the package, there is a metal ball to aid in quick and thorough pigment mixing.
Instructions for use and technical recommendations:- Shake the bottle vigorously before use until the metal ball is clearly heard.
- It is recommended to thin the paint in a separate container using the dedicated Hataka Hobby Acrylic Thinner (HTK-XP01) in proportions ranging from 30/70 to 50/50.
- The recommended airbrush working pressure is 15-20 psi.
- For best adhesion, the paint should be applied to surfaces previously primed with a model primer.
- The paint dries to a matte/satin finish. The coating achieves full durability and water resistance after approximately 24 hours from painting.
The 507B RN Medium Grey color has a rich history in the British Navy. Although mentions of Pattern 507 grey paints date back to 1902, the 507B variant was introduced in 1915 as a lighter shade than 507A. During World War II, the painting schemes of Royal Navy ships evolved, and Hataka acrylic paints allow for a faithful reproduction of these historical colors on plastic models.
